Taylor's Senior Photos

I had a wonderful time capturing photos of Taylor from Burke. Talk about blue eyes! Again, we started in our Legacy studio, but it was a great day so we headed out to do some urban shots and worked in some shots in area parks as well. We loved how these turned out. Check out the link below for a slideshow of our favorite images:

First Session of the Season

We just had an awesome session with Dia from Millard North. We started in our studio and took some fun shots -- then went all over town. We found some really cool urban shots with rustic brick walls in the background. And, we had some fun taking some photos in nearby fields and around some railroad tracks. This series of three shots are my favorite! I've made a slideshow of our fav 30 images (click on the slideshow tab on top of this site). Dia was such an easy subject to shoot!!!

(For Parents) Things to Consider When Selecting a Senior Photographer

You're probably being overloaded with mailers every day from different senior photographers. With all the options out there, making a choice can be tough. We've compiled a list of questions that have been important to our clients that you may want to consider when comparing different photography studios:

1. Who actually photographs the sessions – the owners or an associate/junior photographer?

Many studios have a number of "associate" photographers, and you may not know who's going to take your photos and what that specific photographer's portfolio looks like. Plus, employee photographers are less vested in the quality of the images and your overall satisfaction than the owners of the studio.

At Amber & Rob Photography, every session is photographed by either Amber or Rob or both. Since we're the owners, it's VERY important to us that all of our sessions are flawless and you love the end results. You'll work with us throughout the entire process.

2. Is the studio a high-volume shop where you'll be treated like a number and rushed through their set process?

A number of the photography studios in town, especially the ones that send lots of mail, attempt to shoot as many sessions in as little time as possible.

At Amber & Rob Photography, we limit the number of sessions we take to ensure enough time for us to be creative and deliver images you'll be thrilled with (while providing great customer service throughout the entire process).

3. Does the studio limit the number of outfits, or charge based on the number of outfits?

At Amber & Rob Photography, our sessions are based on time (45 minutes up to 2.5 hours), and you're welcome to bring as many outfits as you'd like – keeping in mind that the more often you change, the less shooting time there is. (We'd be happy to help you choose the outfits that work best.)

4. Does the studio charge fee after fee to touch up photos, convert to black & white, or upgrade to premium paper?

At Amber & Rob Photography, every image you order is touched up at no extra charge – meaning your skin and hair will be flawless. And you can choose to convert any image to black and white or sepia at no extra cost. We want you to love your photos for years to come, so everything we produce, from prints to albums to custom framing, uses the highest quality archival materials.

5. Does the studio advertise bare-bones portrait packages and then use high-pressure sales tactics during your ordering session?

Some studios advertise a cheap session fee and portrait package – which includes minimal poses, no touch ups, and cheap photo paper. Then, they attempt to upsell you to very expensive packages during their sales sessions.

At Amber & Rob Photography, we meet with you prior to taking any photos to understand your style and the types of products you like. We provide all our clients a pricing guide prior to the ordering session, and most of our clients come into their ordering session having a good idea of what they want to order.

6. Does the studio have a fresh, contemporary look? Or are they using old props and backgrounds that look dated?

Some studios have been around for a long, long time...and their photographic style hasn't kept up with trends! Bad Photoshop graphics...columns...ugly backgrounds...fake roses...all these things are dated, but many other studios still use them regularly!

Our clients love us because their images are real – no dorky props or awkward poses. We capture your daughter or son being who they are – and having a great time.

Most importantly, we recommend you choose a photography studio that makes photos that you and your daughter or son will absolutely love...one that will provide the highest level of service possible...and, one that will make your senior portrait session a fun and memorable experience.

Please give us call and we can discuss your daughter or son's session!
